I think this one is my favorite, but I like the idea of risk/oppotunity the best :-) Novice question here, but what was your technique to patch all the parts of the individually edited photo pieces? Good stuff!
I'm glad you like it! It was actually a digital project, so I took about 25 close-up pictures of each door, then imported them all to Photoshop, copied them all to one background layer, then moved them around a bit until it looked about right. Random side note, (I like talking about this project), I felt a little bit ingenious as I took pictures of the words by writing on the sidewalk with the black end of a burnt stick. Kind of primitive? Yes! But a lot of fun.
oh cool! I had no idea that was writing on a sidewalk…I was going to ask where you found the font!!! I love working with layers on photoshop, it's so simple, yet can create some pretty cool effects. So obvious question…did this project parallel anything you did/are experiencing, or what was the general inspiration for it all?
Hmm. I suppose it parallels the point I'm at in life right now…a lot of choices, opportunities, and options. That wasn't originally my reason for doing the project though. Mostly I just loved the doors, the possibilities that they were, and the things they could represent. It ended up having more significance than I had planned though, which is always nice.
